Project Information

When you create projects, we collect property addresses, project descriptions, photos, and related details you provide.

Property Information

If you create property profiles, we collect property addresses, equipment details (make, model, serial numbers), and maintenance history.

Contractor Information

When contractors are discovered through Google Places or self-register, we collect business name, address, phone number, email, trade categories, and service area.

Bid Information

When contractors submit bids, we collect bid amounts, timelines, notes, exclusions, assumptions, and attachments.

Communication Data

We collect the content of messages exchanged between project owners and contractors through the platform.

SMS Data

When you receive or send SMS messages through our platform, we collect your mobile phone number, message content, delivery status, and opt-in/opt-out preferences.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage data including pages viewed, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve the platform.

AI Interaction Data

When you use AI-assisted features (scope drafting, interview questions, vendor filtering), we log the inputs and outputs for quality improvement and audit purposes.

AI and Data Processing

Out2Bid uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to assist with project scope drafting, interview question generation, vendor relevance filtering, appliance tag reading, and bid comparison summaries. Data sent to AI services includes project descriptions, photos, and vendor information necessary to provide these features. AI-generated content is logged for audit purposes and quality improvement. AI does not make decisions on behalf of users. All AI-generated content is presented as suggestions for user review and approval.

Information Sharing

Out2Bid does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

We may share your information:

• Between project owners and contractors as necessary to facilitate the bid process (project details shared with invited contractors, bid details shared with the project owner)
• With service providers who assist with platform operations (Supabase for database hosting, Telnyx for SMS delivery, Postmark for email delivery, Stripe for payment processing, Anthropic for AI services, Google for contractor discovery, Vercel for web hosting)
• When required by law, court order, or legal process
• To protect rights and safety of Out2Bid, our users, or others

We will not share your SMS opt-in consent data with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of the platform. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Contractor Data and Opt-Out

Contractors discovered through Google Places are sourced from publicly available business listings. Self-registered contractors provide their information voluntarily. Contractors can opt out of all Out2Bid communications and be removed from discovery results by replying STOP to any SMS, or by visiting their unsubscribe page linked in every communication. See our opt-out policy in the Terms and Conditions.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted database connections, row-level security policies, signed authentication tokens, and HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. Payment information is processed by Stripe and is never stored on Out2Bid servers. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data Retention

We retain account and project data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services. If you close your account, we retain data as necessary to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. SMS opt-out preferences are retained indefinitely to ensure we honor opt-out requests. AI generation logs are retained for audit and quality improvement purposes.

Your Rights

• Opt out of SMS and email communications at any time
• Access your personal information through your account
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Export your project and property data

Children's Privacy

Out2Bid is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

TCPA Compliance

Out2Bid complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable federal and state regulations governing SMS and email communications. We obtain appropriate consent before sending automated messages and honor all opt-out requests promptly.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your information. We do not sell personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated policy on our website. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
